Tirana generally experiences Mediterranean climate throughout the year. The summers are supposed to be the best time to head for Tirana by the tourists as least rainfall (around 3 cm) is recorded in the months of July and August in summers. The rainy season starts in the month of November and December with average precipitation of 19 cm.
Winters are cool with rare snowfall in January month. Snow accumulates on the mountains near Tirana city. The average low temperature in the month of January is 2°C and average high in the months of July and August is 31°C.
