It is the sixth largest airline in the country, and second oldest in the world behind KLM. Its head quarter is in Bogotá. The airline main base in El Dorado International Airport.







Avianca airlines started operation in December 1919. The airline starts its first flight between Barranquilla and Puerto Colombia with a Junker F13. Avianca flights are the gateway to South America.
