Bahamasair is a national airline based in Nassau, Bahamas. It operates domestic scheduled services to 29 destinations. Bahamas air entered the airline business in 1973. Its main base is Lynden Pindling International Airport.






Bahamasair Airlines was established by the government and started operations June1973. The airline started new Boeing 737s, in 1972. It was established by the merging of British Airways and Pan American Airlines. In 1991 the fleet was converted to all DHC-8 series 300 aircraft. The jets were launched in 1996.
