Biman Bangladesh Airlines

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is the national airline of Bangladesh. It was established in 1972. Its head quarter is based in Dhaka. The airline operates the flights to mostly South Asia, South-East Asia, Gulf and Europe region. Its main hub is in Zia International Airport in Dhaka.



Biman Bangladesh Airlines starts its operation in February 1972. It was established with a slogan ‘Your Home in the Sky’. The airline is fully owned by the corporate body called Bangladesh Biman Corporation. Biman Bangladesh is a member of IATA. In 1983 it launched three DC10-30s, and in presently it contains 6 DC10-30s, 4 Airbus A-310-300s and 5 F-28s regional jets. Biman Bangladesh Airlines has Air Service Agreements with 42 countries and it maintains flights to 18 countries. The airline is wholly owned by the Government of Bangladesh. It has about 2,500 employees.
