British Airways is the largest airline in the Europe and is situated in London, United Kingdom. It was established in March 1924. The airline was privatized in 1987. The airline covers more than 216 destinations in 94 countries. British Airways Airlines is a member of the Oneworld airline alliance in 1999. Its two main hubs are London Heathrow and London Gatwick.
British Airways originated in 1919 and it started operation in August. British Airways holds a United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority. The company is merged in 1935 to form the original privately owned British Airways Ltd. Imperial Airways and British Airways were nationalized in 1939 to form the British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC). By 1970, the airline purchased the Boeing 747 and the growth was rapid.
