Bulgaria Air is the national airline carrier of Bulgaria, based in the capital, Sofia. The airline was established in 2002 and started operations in last month of the same year. The airline operates services to 21 countries in Europe, Czech Republic, Israel and Russia. Bulgaria Air was privatized in the year 2006. Its main base is Sofia Airport.





Bulgaria airline was established in 2002. The airline has become a part of an integration of Hemus Air and Viaggio Air. The first flight of Bulgaria Air was carried out in between the Sofia – London – Paris with 60 passengers on board. Hemus and Bulgaria Air have already started code sharing on the Sofia-Berlin Tegel route and are expected to coordinate their schedules and operations.
