Georgian Airways is the national airline based in Tbilisi, Georgia. The airline was previously known as Airzena but it was renamed as ‘ Georgian Airways ’ in 2004. It was established in 1994.Georgian Airways operates its flights to various destinations in Europe and the Middle East and Asia. Its main base is Tbilisi International Airport. Georgian Airways started operations in September 1994. The airline-scheduled services were started on 1997. On November 1999, the merger of two airlines ‘Airzena’ and ‘Air Georgia’ resulted to formed the ‘Airzena Georgian Airlines’. The airline is a privately owned company. In September 2007 three new aircraft of CRJ-100 type was added to the fleet of the air company.
