Finnish flag carrier Finnair has started investigating importing jet fuel to Finland as prices are increasing and competition among providers is limited, a senior official was quoted as saying.
"In these conditions we have to consider own imports," Henrik Arle, Finnair's vice-CEO, was quoted as saying by public broadcaster YLE.
Finnair, along with other airlines, is suffering from high fuel costs and Arle said this year's fuel bill is likely to top EUR600 million euros (USD$943 million).
