Strapped for cash and wanting to buy a plane ticket?
Eagan-based Northwest Airlines (NYSE: NWA) is teaming up with online payment processor and PayPal in a deal that lets customers book flights now and pay for them later via PayPal's promotional financing service, PayPal Pay Later.
The service lets passengers buy tickets on Northwest's Web site, and then defer payments for 90 days, and is available to customers even if they don't have PayPal accounts.
Northwest has had a partnership with PayPal, a subsidiary of San Jose, Calif.-based eBay (Nasdaq: EBAY) since June 2007.
