Aerolíneas del Sur is now famous as
Air Comet Chile was established in 2004. The
airline had its main base in Santiago, Chile. Aerolíneas del Sur operated scheduled passenger flight services to several destinations including Puerto Montt, Punta Arenas. Aerolíneas del Sur was wholly owned by Grupo Marsans. It was renamed to Air Comet Chile in 2007. The airline was the third biggest airline in Chile.
Air Comet Chile ceased all air flight operations from October 31, 2008. The airlines then filed for bankruptcy protection on December 18, 2008.
