The airline of Chile that was founded in 1979 as Las Aerolineas de la Patagonia. AerovÃas DAP has its main base in Punta Arenas, Chile. Most of the destinations in the southern Patagonia area are being covered by scheduled flights of Aerovias DAP. The airline also provides charter flights. It was the first airline in Chile to perform scheduled commercial flights to the Antarctic in 1987. The airline is famous for its DAP Helicopters division with uninterrupted flights services for more than 27 years.
