It was the regional affiliate of American Airlines with its main base in Chicago. The brand name of American Connection was being used by an independent carrier Chautauqua Airlines under the agreement with American Airlines. It used to operate over 180 regional flights for American Airlines to more than 22 domestic destinations in St. Louis. American Connection is a member of Oneworld airlines alliance.
