Big Sky Airlines was one of the prominent
regional airlines of America. Big Sky Airlines was established in 1978 with initial flight services to various cities in Eastern and Central Montana. Big Sky Airlines had its main base in Billings, Montana, United States. Big Sky Airlines used to operate scheduled flight services to more than 10 cities in Montana. Big Sky Airlines also started scheduled flights between Idaho and Denver, Colorado for a limited time in 2002.
In March 2008, all the scheduled flights of Big Sky Airlines were suspended probably due to disappointing revenue and record-high fuel prices.
