Dalavia was a popular Russian
airline that was established in 1953. Initially it was founded as Khabarovsk Aviation Enterprise, which was wholly owned by the government. The name was changed to Dalavia in 1999. Dalavia was also popular as
Far Eastern Airways. It had its main base in Khabarovsk, Russia. Besides providing scheduled
domestic flights with in Russia, Dalavia also operated
international flights to several destinations in
Asia. Dalavia provided charter flight services to many destinations in Russia.
Dalavia tried to merge with Aeroflot to provide regional flights in Russian Far East. But all the flights services of Dalavia were suspended in 2009.
