This is the national flag carrier of Bulgaria, based in the capital, Sofia. The airline was established in 2002 and started operations in last month of the same year. The airline operates air flight services to 21 countries in Europe, Czech Republic, Israel and Russia. Bulgaria Air was privatized in the year 2006. Its main base is Sofia Airport.

The airline was established in 2002. It has become a part of integration of Hemus Air and Viaggio Air. The first flight of Bulgaria Air was carried out in between the Sofia – London – Paris with 60 passengers on board.
Hemus and Bulgaria Air have already started code sharing on the Sofia - Berlin Tegel route and are expected to coordinate their schedules and operations.
