The airline was originally Aeroflot Kyrgyzstan Directorate. A charter service also used to operate from Bishkek to Beijing.
Kyrgyzstan airlines included Antonov An-26 and Tupolev Tu-134A in the fleet in 2003 and an Airbus A320-200 was operated in September 2004. Kyrgyzstan airline was wholly owned by the State government of Kyrgyzstan.
