Eritrean Airlines

Eritrean Airlines is the national airline based in Asmara in Eritrea. The airline was established in May 1991. Eritrean Airlines is wholly owned by the Government of Eritrea. It operates services to Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Its main base is Asmara International Airport. Eritrean Airlines is decided to fully expand its services in May 2002. In April 2003 Eritrean Airlines took delivery of its first 767-300ER aircraft and started services from Asmara to Frankfurt, Milan, Nairobi and Rome. A second Boeing 767 was leased in mid-2004. Eritrean Airlines opened deal with the Government of Pakistan to start its direct flights between Eritrea and Pakistan in 2006. Eritrean Airlines has agreements for cooperation with SAS, KLM, Delta Airlines and Kenya Airways.
